HappyHorse 1.0 costs 15 Runway credits per second at 720p and 30 at 1080p, the same in the Runway app and on the Runway API. On Runway Standard annual credits that is $8.64 per 30-second try and $25.92 for a usable 30-second 720p clip (3 attempts), and $17.28 / $51.84 at 1080p — 2.5× Gen-4.5’s 12 credits/sec at 1080p. Alibaba Cloud sells the same model direct for about half: $0.14 / $0.24 per second, $12.60 / $21.60 per usable 30s — Runway Standard costs about 2.1× as much at 720p and 2.4× at 1080p. The Runway API ($13.50 / $27.00) is close to Alibaba at 720p, and a fully used Runway Max plan ($10.80 / $21.60) beats or ties it. The newer HappyHorse 1.1 is the cheapest 1080p HappyHorse at $0.18/sec ($16.20 usable) and adds 480p at $0.07/sec ($6.30), but it is only on Alibaba Cloud.

Standard’s 625 credits buy about 41 seconds of HappyHorse at 720p — one 30-second try (450 credits) but not a usable clip with 2 retries (1,350 credits) — and only 20 seconds at 1080p. Pro covers one usable 720p clip a month; Max covers seven. Standard and Pro credits reset each billing date; Max rolls up to one month over. At 1080p (30/sec) it is dearer than Wan 3.0 1080p (20) and costs the same per second as Seedance 2.5 at 720p, which is on Pro and Max only. - Go direct for volume: Alibaba Cloud is $12.60 per usable 30s at 720p against $25.92 on Runway Standard credits.
- At 1080p, use HappyHorse 1.1 on Alibaba Cloud ($0.18/sec, $16.20 usable) instead of 1.0 ($0.24/sec, $21.60).
- Draft at 720p (half the credits of 1080p inside Runway) or at 480p with HappyHorse 1.1 ($0.07/sec), then render the keeper at 1080p.
- Already on Runway? API credits ($0.01) or a fully used Max plan ($0.0080) cut the Standard price ($25.92) to $13.50 or $10.80 for a usable 30s at 720p.

Does HappyHorse include audio or a watermark?
Runway's developer model page describes HappyHorse 1.0 as video generation with native audio, 3 to 15 seconds per clip and ten output ratios, and Runway charges one rate for it. Alibaba Cloud's pricing page does not say whether HappyHorse output has audio. Alibaba's HappyHorse API adds a 'HappyHorse' watermark in the lower-right corner by default; set watermark to false in the request to turn it off. The price is the same either way.
