That re-ranked every rate from $3.15 up: e.g. Seedance 2.0 Mini 480p moved to #9. Vidu says failed generations (including moderation rejections) cost no credits, so the retries here are for outputs you don’t keep. Reference-to-video (3–16s) builds a clip from reference images of subjects, so it isn’t the same job as text- or image-to-video and we don’t rank it (“would be #” shows where it would land). viduq3-turbo and viduq3 match on both Vidu pages; viduq3-mix is 15 / 20 / 24 credits on Vidu API pricing but 24 (720p) / 29 (1080p) in Vidu pricing docs — check official pricing.
Off-peak mode
Off-peak is about half price for Q3 Turbo and Q3 Pro (e.g. Q3 Turbo 540p 4 credits instead of 7, Q3 Pro 1080p 12 instead of 24) in exchange for waiting for spare capacity. Vidu’s pricing page says Q3 Pro and Turbo off-peak works only when audio is on, while the Vidu Q3 image-to-video API reference says off-peak is not supported when audio is on. Because of that conflict, ClipCost ranks standard prices only. Q4 Preview lists no off-peak price.

From Vidu pricing docs (Nov 1, 2026). Q2 charges more for the first second, so cost isn’t linear per second, and Vidu says audio-video output for image-/reference-to-video adds 15 credits per task. Q2 reference-to-video (Q2 / Q2-Pro) runs 15–85 credits for the first second. We don’t rank Q2 because its first-second pricing isn’t a flat per-second rate and the table doesn’t state Q2 clip lengths; at the low end it can work out cheaper per second than Q3 on longer clips (e.g. Q2-turbo 540P image-to-video is 2 credits per extra second), so price it on your own clip length.

With 2 retries (3 attempts) a usable 30-second clip is $3.15, $5.40, $10.80 and $35.10. Each generation is 1 to 16 seconds (Q4 Preview 3 to 16), so 30 seconds takes at least two generations.
What is the cheapest Vidu model?

Does Vidu include audio?
Yes. The Q3 and Q4 Preview API references set audio to true by default, and the Q3 / Q4 per-second tables list no extra audio charge; set audio to false for silent video. Vidu's docs also say audio-video output for image-/reference-to-video adds 15 credits ($0.075) per task, but that note sits in the Q2 section and it does not say whether it applies to Q3 or Q4, so ClipCost does not add it.
Is Vidu off-peak mode worth it?
Off-peak roughly halves the Q3 price (for example Q3 Turbo 540p 4 credits instead of 7), but jobs wait for off-peak capacity and Vidu's own pages disagree on when it applies: the pricing page says Q3 Pro and Turbo off-peak works only with audio on, while the Q3 image-to-video API reference says off-peak is not supported when audio is on.
