Quick answer
The cheapest LTX API rate is LTX-2.3 Fast at 720p: $0.03 per second — $0.90 per 30-second try and $2.70 per usable 30-second clip (3 attempts: 1 + 2 retries), with audio generated by default at no extra charge. LTX-2.3 Pro is $0.04 at 720p ($3.60 usable) and $0.08 at 1080p. The newer LTX-2.5 costs about 3x as much: Fast $0.09 / $0.13 per second at 720p / 1080p ($8.10 / $11.70 usable 30s) and Pro $0.12 / $0.17 ($10.80 / $15.30). 4K runs $0.24–$0.39 per second. Inside Runway, LTX 2.5 Fast 720p is 9 credits per second — $15.55 per usable 30s on Standard annual credits, 1.9x the direct price; only Runway Max credits ($6.48) come in under it.
Now ranked (Oct 26, 2026, 3pm): LTX’s own API prices come from the LTX API pricing docs and the LTX API pricing page (they agree; re-checked Oct 26, 2026). All 16 rates are now in ClipCost’s 210-rate ranking, the 166-rate API ranking and the calculator (tool page: LTX API pricing & traps). At $0.03 per second with audio included, LTX-2.3 Fast 720p ties for #4 of 138 and was the cheapest native-audio rate we ranked until Oct 27, 2026 (the previous floor was $0.05 per second: Veo 3.1 Lite 720p on Vertex AI and Wan 2.6 Flash 720p image-to-video on Alibaba Cloud); now Grok Imagine 1.5 Lite is cheaper at 480p ($0.02/sec) and ties it at 720p ($0.03) — Grok Imagine cost. Head-to-head with Wan: LTX vs Wan cost.
Basis: LTX list prices in US dollars per second of generated video, text-to-video and image-to-video (same price), excluding tax; enterprise pricing not covered. “Usable” = 3 attempts. LTX generates 6–20 seconds per clip (see table), so 30 and 60-second videos are stitched from several generations at the same per-second price. Runway: Standard annual credits ($12/mo for 625 = $0.0192 per credit), Pro annual ($28 for 2,250 = $0.0124), Max annual ($76 for 9,500 = $0.0080) or top-up credits ($0.01, minimum 1,000) — plan rates assume you use all your credits; LTX 2.5 rates verified in data.js. Cost only — no quality ranking.

Maths: $ per second × seconds; usable = × 3. Only Fast at 720p / 1080p reaches 20 seconds in one generation; the other rows need 10-second generations stitched together for 20 seconds and up. With automatic duration (LTX-2.5) you pay for the length the model actually produces.

Runway’s credit rate for LTX 2.5 is exactly LTX’s dollar price in cents (9 credits for $0.09 and so on), so the direct API costs the same as Runway’s $0.01 top-up credits and less than Standard (1.9x) or Pro plan credits; Runway Max annual credits ($0.0080 each) are the only cheaper route, and only if you use the whole 9,500-credit allowance. Runway lists LTX 2.5 for text-to-video, audio-to-video and video-to-video in the app (not on the Runway API price list) and does not offer LTX-2.3. Runway’s plan cards do not name LTX 2.5, so check availability on your plan. See Runway models ranked by cost and Runway pricing.

How you pay, and the traps
- Prepaid credits, charged per second. You buy credits in the LTX Developer Console; auto top-up refills when your balance drops below a threshold of $10–$10,000, buying $5–$2,500 each time (Auto Top-Up docs). A minimum first purchase and credit expiry are not stated in the docs — check official pricing in the console.
- Automatic duration holds extra credit. With
duration: nullon LTX-2.5, prepaid accounts must cover the longest clip allowed (20 seconds on Fast, 10 on Pro at 720p / 1080p) until the job finishes; a request can be declined even if the clip would have been shorter. - Audio is on by default. It costs nothing extra, but set
generate_audioto false if you plan to add your own soundtrack. - Resolution drives the bill. LTX-2.3 Fast is 8x more per second at 4K ($0.24) than at 720p ($0.03); render drafts at 720p and upscale or re-render only the keeper.
- Prices can change. LTX’s help centre says existing credits are consumed at the new rate if prices change — your balance stays, but buys more or less video.
Which LTX option to pick
- Cheapest drafts and social clips with sound: LTX-2.3 Fast 720p, $2.70 per usable 30s; 9:16 supported.
- 1080p on a budget: LTX-2.3 Fast 1080p ($5.40) or Pro ($7.20).
- Newest model, multi-shot scenes: LTX-2.5 Fast ($8.10 at 720p, $11.70 at 1080p) — buy direct rather than through Runway Standard ($15.55 / $22.46).
- Already on Runway Max: LTX 2.5 inside Runway costs $6.48 per usable 30s at 720p if you use all your credits.
- Cheapest silent image-to-video: Wan 2.6 Flash 720p on Alibaba Cloud is still lower at $0.025 per second ($2.25) — see Wan API pricing.

FAQ
How much does the LTX API cost?
LTX bills per second of generated video, the same price for text-to-video and image-to-video (checked Oct 26, 2026 on the LTX API pricing docs). LTX-2.3 Fast is $0.03, $0.06, $0.12 and $0.24 per second at 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4K; LTX-2.3 Pro is $0.04, $0.08, $0.16 and $0.32; LTX-2.5 Fast is $0.09, $0.13, $0.19 and $0.30; LTX-2.5 Pro is $0.12, $0.17, $0.25 and $0.39. A 30-second clip at 720p costs $0.90 per try on LTX-2.3 Fast and $2.70 on LTX-2.5 Fast, or $2.70 and $8.10 per usable clip with 2 retries.
Is the LTX API cheaper than LTX inside Runway?
Yes on Runway's Standard and Pro plans, no on Max. Runway charges the same number of credits per second as LTX's dollar price in cents (LTX 2.5 Fast 9, 13, 19 and 30 credits per second; Pro 12 and 17), so a usable 30-second LTX 2.5 Fast 720p clip is $15.55 on Runway Standard annual credits and $10.08 on Pro, against $8.10 direct. Runway's $0.01 top-up credits match the direct price exactly ($8.10), and Max annual credits are cheaper ($6.48) if you use them all. Runway does not list LTX-2.3 or LTX 2.5 Pro at 1440p or 4K.
Does the LTX API charge extra for audio?
No separate audio price is listed. The text-to-video and image-to-video endpoints generate audio by default (generate_audio defaults to true; set it to false for silent video), and the per-second price table is the same either way. Audio-to-video, where you supply the soundtrack, is billed on the length of your input audio instead, at the same rates as text-to-video for LTX-2.5 and $0.06 to $0.34 per second for LTX-2.3 Pro.
What is the cheapest LTX model?
LTX-2.3 Fast at 720p: $0.03 per second, $0.90 per 30-second try and $2.70 per usable 30-second clip with 2 retries. LTX-2.5 Fast at 720p is 3 times that price ($0.09 per second, $8.10 usable). LTX-2.3 Fast generates 6 to 20 seconds per clip at 720p and 1080p (24 or 25 fps), in 16:9 or 9:16.
How does the LTX API compare with the cheapest other video APIs?
LTX-2.3 Fast at $0.03 per second matches Veo 3.1 Lite 720p without audio on Vertex AI and is only beaten by Grok Imagine 1.5 Lite 480p ($0.02 with audio, xAI API or Runway API, since Oct 27, 2026) and Wan 2.6 Flash 720p without audio on Alibaba Cloud ($0.025, image-to-video only). Because LTX includes audio by default at that price, it ties Grok Imagine 1.5 Lite 720p as the cheapest 720p native-audio rate ClipCost ranks, below $0.05 per second (Veo 3.1 Lite 720p with audio and Wan 2.6 Flash 720p with audio, $4.50 per usable 30 seconds). Since Oct 26, 2026 LTX's own API is in ClipCost's 210-rate ranking: LTX-2.3 Fast 720p ($2.70) ties for #4 and LTX-2.3 Pro 720p ($3.60) ties for #11 (re-ranked Nov 1, 2026).
How do you pay for the LTX API?
You buy prepaid credits in the LTX Developer Console and generations are charged against them per second; enterprise plans are by contact. Auto top-up can refill your balance when it drops below a threshold you choose ($10 to $10,000), buying $5 to $2,500 each time. With automatic duration on LTX-2.5, credits for the longest possible clip are held until the job finishes, then the unused part is released. LTX's docs do not state a minimum first purchase or whether credits expire, so check the console before you buy.
